Traveling to the Philippines
Passports
US passports must be valid 6 months beyond the date of intended departure from the US (i.e. your passport must not expire until AFTER June 2026). US passport holders do not need a visa to visit the Philippines if your stay is less than 30 days.
Language & Culture
English and Tagalog are the official languages of the Philippines, so no need to worry about communication barriers. Cultural differences do exist though. See this helpful guide regarding do's and don'ts.
Food & Water
Filipino cuisine is a flavorful fusion of indigenous and foreign influences, featuring bold, hearty dishes like adobo and lechon, tropical ingredients, and a strong emphasis on hospitality and communal dining. However, as a rule of thumb, we recommend avoiding tap water and street food.

Boracay Island
Getting to Boracay
Peak Season
January is the part of Boracay’s peak travel season given the dry season and proximity to winter holidays. Please make arrangements accordingly for the best rates and availability.
Flights
We recommend flying into Manila International Airport (MNL) and then taking another flight to Caticlan Airport (MPH). Please allow 2-3 hours for a layover, in case your inbound flight is delayed. It's best to arrive in Caticlan in the morning or afternoon as some hotel ferry schedules end in the evening.
… and a Ferry
Once you land, you’ll need to take a bus to the Jetty Port and then transfer to a short 5-15 min ferry to finally reach Boracay Island. Check if your hotel includes this transfer or if you need to book it yourself.

Staying in Boracay
Getting Around
Boracay's White Beach is divided into three stations: Station 0 (secluded, upscale resorts), Station 1 (luxurious and tranquil), Station 2 (lively and central), and Station 3 (quiet and budget-friendly). Walk around, hail a tuk-tuk (about 100-300 PHP cash), or join an island-hopping boat tour!
Where to Stay
We'll be staying at The Lind, the hotel where the ceremony will be taking place, located in Station 1. We’re excited to offer special rates at The Lind for our wedding guests!
However, we also invite you to explore the many other hotel options that Boracay offers.
Getting to our Venue
Ideally, you’ll stay somewhere near The Lind, and can either walk or take a tuk-tuk from your hotel. Once we get a better sense of where people will be staying, we will consider hiring transportation.

Everyday Attire
Casual beach attire. You'll mostly be walking on sand, even in restaurants, so we recommend beach sandals. Humidity is high and temperatures are around 80°F during the day. Don't forget sunblock, sunglasses, and a floppy hat!
Bars & Restaurants
We’ve collected and curated a list of awesome places to eat and drink. You can view our Google Maps list of our recommendations here.
Popular Activities
Popular activities include island-hopping, boat tours, snorkelling, diving, and other water sports that can be booked at the front desk of your hotel. The island also has a wonderful day spa (Mandala Spa) and world-class golf course (Fairways & Bluewaters).
